Our History
1985 Company was formed to do residential and commercial remodeling projects
1986 Built first home addition
1991 Completed first new home building project
1999 Company expanded and moved to Amherst offices
2000 Added our Handyman Division, Case Handyman Services
2008 Company name changed to HomePro Remodeling to encompass all aspects of the company.
Company Founder
After attending Dartmouth college in pre-architectural studies, company founder Jim Lyon moved from Western New York to Taos New Mexico with his wife, Marcy, where he worked in construction and cabinetry. He returned to this area several years later and started the remodeling company.
He has completed many studies in the construction and remodeling field including studies in design, building technology, and management. He completed the University at Buffalo Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Program in 2003. He has been recognized in articles in The Wall Street Journal, Builder-Architect Magazine, and Business First of Buffalo.
Jim lives in Hamburg with his wife Marcy, and has 5 children, Elyse, Drew, Ali, Emma, and Luke. Oh, let's not forget the 2 dogs and 3 cats. He enjoys sailing, skiing, scuba, fresh and saltwater fishing, woodworking, the Bills and Sabres, and spending time with his family.
